The installation explores urban transformation. The digital display board, item number 4-28R, was situated on the roof of an SBB shed until 2013, which has since been replaced by high-rise buildings. The display provided train travelers with time and temperature information. Today, it stands - in coexistence with the buildings of Europaallee - symbolizing the spatial and social changes of its location.
To place the digital display board at its original height, a supporting structure was needed. The resulting object designed for the task is a metal truss column, kept upright by a large metal box filled with steel bars to provide the necessary weight. This box also served a secondary purpose as a bench, as the object was located directly in front of the main entrance to the cinema.
