Competition entry for a residential development in an alpine village.
The project extends the existing multi-family building and its spatial structure in multiple directions. The existing building remains largely unchanged in terms of volume, appearance, and internal logic, forming the constructive and organisational point of departure for the development. The extensions, building volumes of varying sizes depending on programme and function, are added to the existing structure. Their placement reorganises the outdoor space, establishes clear relationships to the garden, and enables densification without compromising the existing qualities. Old and new remain legible and enter into a controlled dialogue.
